**Note**: Booking a tee time at this club is a **request**, we will confirm the booking with Pyle and Kenfig Golf Club. --- Pyle and Kenfig Golf Course, affectionately known as ‘P & K’, with its lofty sand dunes hugging the South Wales coast of Porthcawl is situated in a wonderful stretch of golfing country. Glorious views and historic associations adorn this undulating course with its natural hazard of hillocks, valleys and towering dunes. However serious the game, time must be made to appreciate the panoramic views. The Bristol Channel, the Gower Peninsula, Sker House and the magnificent Welsh Mountains can all be seen from various points. Unusually for a links course, Pyle and Kenfig is laid out in two loops of nine. The original front nine, designed by the renowned Harry Colt, takes you slightly further inland and it is here where you want to make your score. The back nine, designed by P. Mackenzie Ross, takes you out into the dunes and is a very stiff test for any golfer, especially when the wind is up. The 11th hole, a 525-yard par five known as the Valley Hole, is where the dunes first come in to play – from here on in, it’s sheer entertainment. Drink in the view from the 14th tee, a 416-yard par four – the panorama towards the Gower Peninsula is stunning. Pyle & Kenfig’s last three holes, all long par fours, are amongst the best and toughest closing holes around.
